Common Dirt Dragons
The common breed of the Dirt Dragon species is the aptly named Common Dirt Dragon. Another wonderful starter for new tamers/breeders, this breed consists of about a quarter of the entire dragon population.
The Common Dirt is one of the most easily recognizable of the dragon species. It has a hooked crest that almost curls down over its face, giving it a comical appearance that matches its gregarious personality and a small but muscular body. It is not unknown for Common Dirt handlers to utilize their strength for occasional farming purposes as the species as a whole is easily tamed and amenable to working.
In comparison to the Common Leaf, the Common Dirt is even more more playful and liable to play tricks, whether on its fellows or its human handlers. Almost endlessly cheerful, the Common Dirt does well when kept with all dragon breeds. Due to this, this dragon breed is also the most likely to exhibit the personality trait known affectionately as 'derp' amongst breeders, where they pose absurdly or make faces.
At present, ERS has a Common Dirt who has grown attached to his handler and is, at present, staying indoors. He is friendly and affectionate and will be one of the dragons in the monthly Dragon-Care workshop held by ERS.
